Returns On New Parts
  • It doesn't matter how good we think our parts are - all that matters is how good you think they are.
  • We never charge a handling or restocking fee or similar.
  • As long as you return unused within 30 days of receipt you will be refunded for the full cost of your purchase if you ordered in error, or change your mind or for whatever reason your purchase isn't what you hoped or expected it to be

In addition to our satisfaction-based guarantee, there are a number of other important things we think you should know about our cancellations and returns policy. Why? Because it's important that you know what to expect from us when you spend money in our store. We'd rather manage your expectations properly from the outset. Plus, we have to make sure we meet the requirements of distance selling legislation that protects your rights as a consumer.
Firstly, you need to know what to do if you change your mind. We all make mistakes from time to time and it's an easy situation to remedy. If you decide you want to cancel your order before we have dispatched or manufactured it, all you need to do is notify us by e-mail. We will then cancel your order and issue you with a full refund for the cost of the products and the original shipping charge. Please however email us as soon as possible as orders are often sent out the same day.
If you decide to cancel your order after we have dispatched it, all you need to do is notify us by e-mail as soon as possible (but no later than 30 days after the date of delivery). You must then return the parts unused and at your own expense using an insured delivery service. You should obtain proof of posting in case of loss or damage en route to us. The product must be returned in a re-saleable condition (see below for more details). We do not insist but we will be grateful if you could return the product in its original packaging. Please include the invoice or a photocopy. When we receive the product back we will issue you with a full refund for the cost of the product. However, please be advised that non-stock products ordered by you to your own specification (eg vehicle number plates) or manufactured to your requirement (eg custom starter motors) are not covered by our Risk-Free Returns policy; non-stock products supplied to order are easily identified in their product description as availability is clearly stated as "manufactured to order".

What is a re-saleable condition?
When you return a product to us, it must be in the same condition as you received it. If, for example, you order a mirror and decide that it doesn't suit your Triumph, or when held up against the wing doesn't provide enough angle of adjustment then send it back to us. But please don't fit/modify/scratch it first. As a rule of thumb, if you return an item to us in the same condition that you received it then that will be fine. Returning it in the original packaging will help us and save us time and money but we understand this is not always possible or you may have already thrown it away.
What happens if a product develops a fault after 30 days of use? Then a claim would be made on the manufacturer's warranty - see below.

Warranty
All new and reconditioned parts are covered by a 12 month manufacturer's warranty unless specifically stated in the product description. We will be grateful if you notify us immediately by email if a potential warranty situation arises. We will then advise a course of action. Any suspected faulty part must be returned to us together with either the original invoice or a legible photocopy. We will be grateful if you could supply us with as much information relating to the problem as possible for future product development or modification. Please note that a defective part must be returned and received by us before it can be exchanged. All warranty parts are subject to a physical inspection. This may involve returning the part to the manufacturer (if not ourselves) to verify the fault before it can be exchanged.
The warranty period commences from the date you received your purchase not the date of installation or first use. This warranty covers defects to the part when fitted and used correctly for normal, everyday vehicle use but does not apply to parts used for any extraordinary or unusual uses such as competition, racing, rallying or parts subsequently stripped down, altered, modified or adapted etc. in any way from their original design or intended use.
Although we are, by law, liable for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence and by The Sale of Goods Act 1979, our warranty only covers the parts in question and not to any consequential loss or cost, eg garage labour, recovery, car hire, parking fines, lost wages etc. No claim will be validated if the failure is caused by mis-use, neglect, overheating, incorrect installation or failure due to a related component.

Returns On Used Parts

Mechanical & Electrical Parts:
I test mechanical parts as far as I am able to. This often means I bench test them. This is a good indication but its not infallible. Take a wiper motor for example: I can wire it up and watch the spindle move, but this doesn't always mean that it still has enough life to turn the rack and the wipers over a dry screen.
Even when they work fine, they're still not a new part eg a starter motor will always exhibit some wear to the toothed pinion as it starts wearing from the moment it contacts the ring-gear in its first life.
But the good news is most mechanical and electrical parts are warranted for 30 days. If it doesn't work or it dies within 30 days then return for a refund or exchange at your choice.

Hydraulic Parts
All used hydraulic items are sold without guarantee. They are sold as suitable for reconditioning. We are unable to guarantee hydraulic items (master & slave cylinders, calipers, servos, power steering pumps etc) as we are unable to test them. The only reason we will accept a return on a hydraulic item is if we have supplied an incorrect part.

Engines
Engines are sold for reconditioning. More details on what to expect from a used engine here

Currency Exchange Rate On Purchases Made From Outside UK
The default currency on this website is pounds sterling. There is the facility to convert the prices quoted to currencies as provided by the Currency Picker. As we are a UK based business all transactions are conducted in pounds sterling. The exchange rate quoted is automatically updated four times daily to ensure it is as accurate as possible. However the precise exchange rate is as set by your payment card issuer at the moment of purchase and is thus beyond our control. When you make a purchase from us, your payment card issuer will credit us in pounds and will debit your card in your local currency at the prevailing exchange rate that they have set at the moment of purchase.
