Shock absorbers themselves generally last longer than the location bushes - if your shocks are ok but the bushes are tired then this is the solution.
To test if your Triumph would benefit from entire replacement shocks then it should not "bounce" more than one and a half times after a good shove downwards.
When fitting ensure the car is back on the ground before torquing up the shocks otherwise you run the risk of pinching the bushes which will subsequently wear out prematurely.
